A hemiola is three-against-two: two pulses of different grouping overlapping. Hemiola is a delay built from two voices — a Main echo and a Follower at a snapped musical Ratio — that interlock. The signature Undertow control crossfades level and feedback between them: at full, the Main announces and fades early while the Follower lingers and fades after, so a quick statement becomes a sustaining wash.
