Rubato is a tape-style modulated delay. A fractional, cubic-interpolated delay line feeds back through a one-pole low-pass for tape darkening while its read head is bent by two LFOs — a slow Wow drift and a fast Flutter shimmer — recreating the pitch instability of worn tape. A switch strip adds HEADS (multi-head taps), AGE (New / Worn / Ruined tape condition), SYNC (host-tempo divisions) and HOLD (sound-on-sound bloom).
